Next Girls Aloud Single Call The Shots

Fascination Records have confirmed that the next Girls Aloud single will be called Call the Shots and will be out at the end of November. They are working on video concepts at the moment and say they are going to do something a bit "less hectic" than Sexy! No, No, No. Speaking of Sexy, that is available for download in the UK from tomorrow.

It's Britney Bitch!

Britney Spears new single Gimme More is all over the internet, and it's very good. No one expected that! It's actually a grower, not instant and it's more Slave than Toxic. It will be very interesting to see if radio picks it up. Britney's back!

More Dannii News

Dannii's official website has given us the name of the other two releases we are getting, they are Unleashed and The Video Collection. We don't have a tracklist yet but we are told that Unleashed won't have anything to do with Dannii's Unleashed Tour but will be a collection of material from 1997 - 2006. Sounds very promising!
Meanwhile here is the cover of the Neon Nights Deluxe Edition.

This is Annie's Cover!

Kylie Single 2Hearts Out October

It has been confirmed that Kylie will be releasing new single 2Hearts on October 15th, followed by another single and the new album late November. Apparently it's a slow track, not sure how that will go down seeing as everyone is expecting a thumping disco return, but bring it on.

Britney Leak!

We are spoilt this week! First we get a new Madonna track, and now a new Britney Spears song has leaked! The track is called Baby Boy, it's a slow groove with Spears sounding more mature. It's actually quite good.. who knew? Maybe this new album isn't going to be a disaster after all.

Calvin Harris Talks Kylie Songs

Cameron Adams has interviewed Calvin Harris for Hit and they talk about his work with Kylie. Calvin says they worked on six songs together, three of which are unfinished idea's. He says there are 20 songs on the shorlist for the new album, two of which are his. "One is more of an album track but it's still good; the other is so blatantly a single I'd be gutted if it wasn't. She raps on one, a bit like Uffie".

Sugababes About You Now

Sugababes have put a clip of new single About You Now up on their website. The single will premier tomorrow morning in the UK on Jo Whiley's Radio 1 show. It's no Push the Button, but we will reserve judgement until we hear the whole track. Is it just us or is Keisha starting to look like Rihanna?

Disco flaw?

It seems the Pet Shop Faithful are a little underwhelmed at the release of Disco 4, as this fan forum pic suggests. The new album brings together 7 already-released dance mixes by the Boys, plus 1 new mix (tracklisting further below). There are only 2 PSB songs on the album, neither of them new. A slap in the face to loyal fans? We're just bummed that Blur and Bloodhound Gang didn't make the cut. Let's not forget the original Disco and Disco 2 contained nothing new. Rare perhaps, but not new. Anyways all eyes will now be on the cover art.

Joey Negro and Andy Cato do the duties on this one. Paul Oakenfold has mixed another track Cry Baby available as part of the digital download package.

And Now JT Talks Madonna

Justin Timberlake has again spoken of his collaboration with Madonna. He tells Cameron Adams in today's Hit in the Herald Sun "She's a very talented lady. There are definitely moments when I think, wow, I'm singing with Madonna. But she's so cool. She's very clever, very innovative. I was humbled working with her. She's fun to work with and she takes advice. Plus she has an amazing mind."
When Adams presses JT on what form the songs are taking he tells him that they have grooves that sound like her first album, but with more advanced lyrics. "It's kind of in the middle between what she does and what I want to do. It's exactly how you want to hear Madonna right now. It doesn't sound like anything she has done yet it still sounds like Madonna." He also tells Adams, "There's a couple of duets there."

Timbaland Talks Madonna

Timbaland has spoken for the first time about his work with Madonna, promising, 'She's got a hot album'!! He told TRL that Madonna is almost finished with the album and that it's 'up there with Justin's'. Timba says he and Justin wrote and produced 10 tracks. "There's this one song, we taking it back to 'You must be my luck-eee starrrr!' ... Remember 'Ugly' by Bubba Sparxxx? I got a beat similar to that. The hook is no words. It's saying stuff named after coffee — all these different names for coffee — is the hook. ... The name of the song is 'La, La.' Pharrell did a hot one for her too called 'Candy Shop.' She's off the chain."

Debbie's Two Times Blue Video

As we reported earlier, Debbie Harry is back and solo with her new album Necessary Evil out in the US on October 9th. Well now we have the video for first single Two Times Blue. Looks a little cheap, they probably had a very small budget, the song rocks though. It's a little reminiscent of her French Kissing days. Can't wait to hear some remixes.

Pet Shop Boys Disco 4

The Pet Shop Boys are finally releasing the next instalment in their Disco series, however this one is different. Usually the Disco albums are Pet Shop Boys tracks mixed by other DJ's but this one will include remixes of other artists songs that the boys have remixed. Apparently they wanted to collect their favourite remixes that they have done on one album. It will include new mixes of two Pet Shop Boys songs, Integral and I'm With Stupid. Disco 4 follows on from Disco (1986), Disco 2 (1994) and Disco 3 (2003) and is scheduled for release on September 24th.

Tracklist:

1. The Killers: Read My Mind (PSB Stars Are Blazing mix)

Gwen Concert Last Night

So we went to Gwen Stefani last night and she was awesome. The crowd was going off so much that we thought we went back in time to a Beatles concert. We were a little unhappy with our seats - until she ran out in to the audience and sang Cool right in front of us! Amazing! Highlights were Wind It Up, Cool and Danger Zone. Click on images to enlarge.

Darren's Delicate Box

Darren Hayes has released a teaser video on youtube that gives us an exclusive peak at the Deluxe Edition of This Delicate Thing We've Made. If you turn the volume up you can hear him giggling through out. The box looks very cool.
